The absence of vulgarity sets James apart and his stories are carefully crafted art. “I have lived long enough to know people, know life”, Gregory reflects. “My comedy is based on my life experiences. It’s real, it’s funny and the audience loves it. That’s why I’m still in business
In his first project in 13 years, James Gregory’s “Beef Stew for the Brain” dishes up brilliant imitations on stupid relatives, obsession with the weather, and spoofing health addicts, modern parents, and out-of-control environmentalists. At the top of his powers, “Beef Stew for the Brain” is James Gregory’s best work to date. If you found “Chicken Soup for the Soul” just a tad too syrupy, get ready for some fun!

MAC Birdhouse: Kenney White - Mar. 26 We are delighted welcome back to Birdhouse of one of our favorite artists: Kenny White. Kenny combines urban storytelling with an acrobatic piano playing, reminding us, as a Birdhouse regular put it, “that the piano is a percussion instrument.” At the age of six, Kenny started playing songs that he heard on the radio, and his professional career has had him playing with such famous artists as Linda Ronstadt, Dwight Yoakam, Gladys Knight, Aaron Neville, Ricky Skaggs, Al Jarreau, and Kim Carnes. Lively, smart, and lyrical, Kenny’s performance is one you won’t want to miss. http://www.myspace.com/kennywhitemusic
